By default the X201T does not have automatic rotation enabled (and it's better that way). The X201T does have an accelerometer and you can enable automatic rotation.
How to enable automatic rotation:
- Press the Win key and type "Lenovo Tablet Utility", and open it.
- Check the "Enable ActiveRotate" box.
- Click the "Calibrate" button and follow the instructions.
Once you have finished the calibration process the system will automatically rotate based on how you hold the system. Since this is calibrated it works very well.
Programs in Windows 7, and the OS itself, are not really built for rotation. The automatic rotation is not smooth, at least not as smooth as the Apple iPad or Android tablets. Personally I prefer the manual rotation done through the bezel button.

I try to do the same thing to enable the automatic rotation.. but i have the check box "activeRotate" desabled !!

It may be due to missing sensor drivers, which would be available at Lenovo's website. I don't think Lenovo sold units without the G sensor, but it is a possibility.
DeleteThanx man for your fast response.. can you tell me what exactly the driver which should i download it
ReplyDeleteLenovo's website has the latest drivers.
DeleteWhat if there is no "Lenovo Tablet Utility" option in my start menu or in my control panel? Is there a driver I can download and install for this feature?
ReplyDeleteTry "Pen Tablet Properties". If you don't have this latter option then you may have to download the Tablet PC drivers from Wacom's website.
