The W530 and and X230T are neat Lenovo systems. The X230T is compact compared to the W530. Obviously each serves their function, but the W530 is by far more powerful.

Both systems closed.
The W530 and X230 are thick units, but they are more powerful than many Win 8 systems (tablets, ultrabooks).
There are many similarities in the port placement.
Other side of the units. The X230T does not have an optical drive.
Same keyboard design. The X230T has tablet features and plenty of power for the average user. The W530 truly is a mobile workstation, the screen is way better (resolution, and color).
