There are many power supply units for the ThinkPad Yoga 12. The included one is the ADLX45NDC2A, which is a medium sized power supply. I say medium because compared to other units this really is the medium one. Below I go over some of the details of three power supply units.
Three power supply units:
- The ADLX45NDC2A is the included power supply. This is a 45W power supply, which is achieved by the use of 20V and 2.25A.
- The ADLX65SDC2A is a slim power supply. The 65W is achieved by the product of 20V and 3.25A.
- The ADLX90NDC2A is a power supply included with the Lenovo Pro Dock unit. The 90W is achieved by the product of 20V and 4.25A.
The current (A) is the only thing that changes, and what we can say is that these power supplies can deliver the charge needed depending on their current. The higher the current the faster they can recharge the battery.
This is the box of the ADLX65SDC2A.
Surprisingly the box did not have any form of padding for the box found inside.
The inner box did provide padding for the slim power supply.
The slim compared with the included power supply. From this point of view the slim one looks bigger doesn't it?
The slim one has a higher length and width (x and y accordingly).
Besides the names, the only other difference is the current.
Here we can observe the three power supply units. From left to right, the ADLX90NDC2A (dock one), ADLX45NDC2A (included), and ADLX60SDCA (slim).
With this image we can finally notice that the slim version is actually thinner. The other two are quite thick in comparison.
As of right now I use the dock one at home, the included one when I travel, and the slim one as a backup. It would be tempting to have the slim on the road though as it can charge the battery faster than the included power supply.
That's all for now.
